Can Film Camera lenses and Flash be used for Digital Camera Body

The lenses are SIGMA ZOOM 28-90 mm and SIGMA ZOOM 100-300 mm.
I would like to Know if I purchased a Digital Camera Body would these lenses be suitable to use.

I also have a Pentax pz401 flash unit, would this be suitable also.

The FILM camera was purchased standard with the two lenses and flash and I now wish to change to Digital.

What Digital camera body would you recommend for use with the above mentioned?

I would gratefully appreciate any advice that you can give me.
Thank you, regards

If u used to have a Pentax camera, i would recommend you buying a Pentax DSLR, because Pentax film lenses still works on Pentax DSLR. I still use some of my prime lenses on my K10D.

Pretty much all Pentax lenses will work on Pentax DSLR with the following caveats, Screw mount will fit with a M42 to K-mount adapter and work purely manual. M series lenses are manual only with step down aperture, no electronics and you need to set camera to shoot without lens, refer to manual to do that. A series work in manual focus but with aperture ring set to A will have auto aperture. F, FA lenses will work fully auto.
Sigma, Tamron, Tokina and other brands with K, KA, RKA, etc, will work as well.
There are more lenses that can work on a Pentax DSLR than any other brand camera.

What lens mount do you have on the lens? In other words, with what make film camera did you use the lens? A DSLR from the same company should be able to use the lens.

Does my Sigma 28-105 mm Aspherical for film camera work on my Canon 5D Mark III?

If the Sigma lens mount is a Canon FD fitting then you can get an adapter FD to EF that will allow you to use the old lens in manual mode. If your camera isn't designed to take EF-s lenses then they will not fit on the camera. My EF-s lenses will not fit on my 6D.

I have an old interchangable lense from a Nikon camera that I used to use with film. My question is does the lense Sigma DL zoom 75-300 mm 1:4-5.6, fit or work on any of the digital camera today?

Yes. It will fit and work on every current Nikon digital camera. It will act longer, like a 125-450mm on the smaller sensor bodies (everything except the D700 and the D3 series). It will act like a 75-300mm on the D700 and the D3. It also won't autofocus on some of the low-end bodies, such as the D3000, which require the lens to have an internal focus motor.

The auto focus works fine- it will not auto or

Hi I am SAGHA camera repairer from mumbai,I think your sigma 18-125 dc lens is having electronically operated aperture unit in which one Film PCB runs from mount contacts to aperture unit.Due to multifolds of that film inside the barrel the film gets cracked at one fold location So either you have to get that film changed or the whole aperture unit replaced from an expert.give me feedback for this tip Vote me if you found it useful,ALL THE BEST.

Cannon lenses

All canon EF lenses (and compatibles e.g. Sigma EX) can be used with both analog and digital  EOS-bodies. Depending on the sensor size (usually smaller than a 35 mm negative) a crop-factor due to the smaller field of view must be considered.  Example: Canon EF 50mm/1.8 lens used on a digital EOS (40D, crop factor 1.6) equals a 80mm lens (50mm x 1.6) compared to analog cameras using 35mm film. Some digital EOS-models can also use EF-S lens-series.

Canon rebel xt error messages

I have the same problem. So far I've contacted Sigma (I believe this is the company that manufacturers the Quantaray lens for Ritz) and they requested I send them a photo of the lens. I just googled sigma lens to find sigma support. I will update you all with any response I may get.

I have old Lenses that I use; you must set your lens to manual, Switch left hand front of body. That should resolve the problem.

The canon lens should work fine. Some of the Sigma lenses have to be converted by Sigma to work with digital. The last one I sent to them they only charged me $10 for return shipping. You can find their address online.

No se como un lente puede romper el anclaje al cuerpo de la camara, pero si en verdad se rompio, deberia llevarla a una tienda fotografica para que la arreglen. Le queda tiempe en la garantia?
