Error code 1401 - Canon Office Equipment & Supplies

1. Whenever these error codes 1401, 1403 and 1405 appear on the screen, the first thing that you need to do is to power the printer off.
2. Remove the ink cartridges after that followed by replacing them with the new ink cartridge.

Download the printer driver from Canon.

This is consistent with any of error codes 1401, 1403 and 1405. It indicates a problem with the print head.
Per Canon the resolution of these errors 'requires the assistance of a Canon authorised service facility. Please use the link at the top of the page to locate your nearest facility.'

1403
Description: A print head temperature sensor error has occurred.

I didnt find a 4101 however I did find a 1401. If you think it might be 1401 this is an evap code and you may end up taking it to the shop for a smoke test to find the leak. Make sure that your gas cap is tight. A loose gas cap will also throw the 1401 code since the system will not have the right pressure.
