What is the mormal temperature swing of a Refrigerator?

What you call temperature swing, is hysteresis. For a refrigerator it only is allowed a few degrees. 1 or 2 up and down. A swing from 32 to 45 is far to big. Unless the factory can prove they advertise these figures. I would never buy a frig like that.
I would contact the dealer and ask him / her to replace the thermostat and if that is not possible to bring another refrigerator.

Something is really wrong with yours.

My freezers compressor is getting very hot and the freezer is not freezing

Fridgidaire Upright Freezer appears that the compressor is getting hot enough to burn ( serious discoloration) the linoleum below the freezer.

The compressor is hot to the touch.

Freezer is working just fine.

What to do?

I have a Fridgidaire side by side Model #FRS26R4CWO that keeps dripping water from the ice maker into the freezer and also out into the door

There is a drainage piece that must be clogged. You have to unscrew the back interior wall out and you can access the small pipe that is most likely clogged. This should solve the water dripping issues.
