Disconnect the divice uninstall the driver restart the laptop and then reinstall the driver again restart the laptop then connect the device it works.

There probably is not a driver specifically for Windows 7.
Usually you will have to use the one for Windows Vista.
Windows 7 is only a glorified version of Vista anyway.

Go here:Drivers
Select the Downloads tab, then select the operating system.
If you have 32 bit Win 7 then select the 32 bit Vista.

If you have home premium then select the same for Vista.

In the next drop down menu select Original Driver.

The problem is that Sony doesnt offer drivers for 64-bit windows so the other 32-bit drivers will not be compatible.
You have the options to install the windows versions supported by sony from esupport.sony.com (Vista or XP)
Or try installing windows 7 32-bit and installing the missing drivers from esupport (Vista section) as usually they are compatible.
If the driver is still missing you will need to update the driver from device manager (previously installed from esupport) and then select to browse or select a location, which will be %temp% or what is the same the temp folder for your account C\users\your_user_name\appdata\temp. This folder is usually hidden but it will work if you just type %temp%

As if now windows 7 drivers are not available but you dont have to worry because Basic system functionality should be automatically enabled with the drivers included within the Windows 7 operating system.
However, if one of the drivers that came with the operating system does not work with your system, you can try installing the Windows Vista version of the driver provided by Sony for your model. Check the key isn't stuck down first, if not you may have a corupt driver, go to my computer< right click>properties>hardware tab>device manager and then in the next window, go down to keyboards, click on the'+' sign and right click on the line and select uninstall. Restart you pc and the keyboard will be re installed automatically and the driver loaded. Try again.
