Because your camera uses SD cards, (SD/SDHC/SDXC and Eye-Fi) you have several options. The easiest and fastest possibility is to use a camera connection kit. On the picture the two on the left. The most left for iPad 1 to 3 (30 pins) the right for all anther iPads. Be aware these won't work on the iPhone or iPod. Then on the right is a WiFi card. Can be bought from Eye-Fi Transcend (Cheaper and much faster) and SanDisk. But more firms are bringing this item.
The Wi-Fi card is slower, because it is using the card as a hotspot. and the the fastest Wi-Fi is always slower than wired. The Transcend card, I also use to put the pictures on my iPhone, using Wi-Fi. he card has even more possibilities, like sending pictures direct to a computer, but you can check this on the sites from Eye-Fi and Transcend.
Both solutions can be the same in price, because when buying a Wi-Fi card, you also have a new memory card (Class 10 in case of the Transcend)

My olympus sz 14 camera shows Zoom error on the screen when I turn it on and then turns off immediately. I bought a new battery a d charged the camera but it continues to shut off.

The "Zoom Error" message that appears on your Olympus SZ-14 camera's screen when you turn it on, followed by the camera turning off immediately, could be caused by a problem with the camera's lens.
Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Turn off the camera and remove the battery and memory card. Then, wait for a few minutes before re-inserting them and turning the camera back on.
  2. Try gently tapping the camera on a flat surface to try and realign the lens.
  3. Check the lens for any dirt or debris that may be blocking the movement of the lens. Clean the lens with a soft, dry cloth.
  4. Check the lens for any physical damage like dents or cracks.
  5. Try using the camera without the zoom function to see if it still turns off.
  6. Contact Olympus customer support: If you have tried all the above steps and the camera is still not working, it may be best to contact Olympus customer support for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose and fix the issue or tell you if a repair is needed.
It's important to keep in mind that the Olympus SZ-14 is an older model camera, which makes it harder to find replacement parts and professional repair services. If the camera is still under warranty, you may be able to get it repaired or replaced by the manufacturer.

I have a new olympus sz 15... after chargiong and downloading pictures... it is frozen... none of the buttons work... only the picture button does, somewhat - it will change the screen whgile holdin down...

When you put in an USB cable, the camera starts charging the battery, or when some signals come from the computer it knows it needs to send pictures you the computer and wait till it gets the order to do so.
Only for the more professional camera's there are programs so you also can use the camera in combination with a computer. Professionals buy these software and use it in a studio with the camera switched to live view.
When you want to use the camera, never leave something in the USB connector and make sure it is free from debris.
Any connection in the USB connector, can "fake" a computer or charger connection, and the camera waits till it gets a commend from that port. It won't listen to any command on any button.
When you are sure the connector is free and clean, remove the battery again and reinsert it.
If the error comes back, return the camera (or visit a Olympus certified repair centre) because it must be a warranty issue.

Lost the cd rom for olympus sz-14

Do you really need the Olympus software?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Can i transfer pictures to my ipad

With a card reader, you can move all the photos from your digital camera to computer. After that, you can take advantage of iTunes to transfer photos to your iPad. This should be easy, but please note that the RAW files takes much more storage space than the JPEG files, so you'd better take a look at your storage space of your iPad before you import photos from camera to iPad.
transfer-pictures-ipad-oxaxc0rwhkhzilrwacqreyis-2-0.jpg After importing photos from camera to iPad, you can view them with the Photos app on your iPad. The RAW files can also be read on your tablet, and supported RAW files are exactly the same as your Mac computer does.
