SOURCE: deleted the "ds_menu.dat" how can i get it back

When you mean the DS_MENU.DAT, do you mean the menu on your R4? You can get it back, and I have links, but unfortunately that file has not been updated since April 2008. Here is the link however: http://r4ds.cn/download/118/English-1.18.rar

SOURCE: please help every site i look on to find the

Hello Sammy,

It's really important that you get the software that's intended for your exact card. There are many models out there and they require their own unique kernal software.

There's a great tutorial to set it up on http://www.dscardworld.com with pictures and links to all the official software on their support page. And I noticed they made a video about it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV4sNQf2uS4

But they might not have your exact card model's software. If you check the packaging of your flash card there should be a manufacturer's website on it that will have the latest official software for your particular flash card.

Start from step one with the right software and you should be just peachy :)

Best of luck!

How to Check Computer's History After Someone Deletes It

If your computers history is delete by someone. But still if you want you can get the

computer's history back. Since the computer automatically backs up all the history even

after someone deletes it. You can simply get the computers history by searching the

index.dat file and you need to open it up with the help of an appropriate software

Follow the steps which i have mentioned below:

1. Go to the start menu and select Search.
2. In the search window click Tools on the menu bar which is at the top of the search window and then select "Folder options".
3. Now click the View Tab.
4. Select "Show hidden files and folders.
5. Uncheck the two checkboxes "Hide extensions for known file types" and "Hide protected operating system files which are checked by default.
6. Click the Apply button to apply these settings and the close the folder option window and return to the search window again.
7. Select "All Files and Folders" and in the Look in box select C: drive After this type "index.dat" into the search bar, and hit the "Search" button. You may get a number of index.dat file.
8. Try Downloading a ".dat" file reader to your computer if you don't already have one and then install it on your machine.
9. Use this Application for reading the deleted history of your computer

Menu.dat issue

the _DS_MENU.DAT could not be found bcuz you guys probably deleted it or edited it accidentally. if you edited it, put it back to its normal self right away. for example, it was _DS_MENU.DAT.
if you edit it to look like, DS Menu.Dat , your R4 wont work. so fix it to its original self.

N5DS - How do i use it?

1. If you don't already have a micro sd card or reader, then get one.
2. Go to homepage of N5DS (http://www.dsn5.com/EN-N5/n5-en.htm) set language to english on site, go to download, and then download update v 1.19 kernel(English) to desktop.
3. If you don't have winrar to extract rar files go get the english version at rarlabs.com and install it.
4. Extract the kernel for n5ds by right clicking it and click extract. Extract it to the desktop. open the folder until you see the folder with a bunch of files like .dat moonshell and stuff. then connect your micro sd reader to your computer and then put it in micro sd card. Once your computer installs it drag all those files into the micro sd card. Then when you turn it on it should work. What games were you talking about? like nintendogs and stuff? those are commercial roms and I cannot provide ayou a link to. Or was it homebrew games?

Nintendo ds N5 card stuck on loading screen

found solution to R5:
download latest firmware (1.19 at present) and unzip
format MicroSD to Fat or Fat32
Copy firmware onto MSD in this order ONE BY ONE !!!!!!
This step is very important!!!!
1. DS_MENU.DAT
2. _AXMENU.DAT
3. _DS_MSHL.DNS
4. _SYSTEM_ folder
5. moonshl folder
Then load your .nds files into the root.
I've had absolutely no problems with this card so far and if
installed correctly it works brilliantly!!!
