Nuvi 260 question

Yes it does.
You would have to pay for the Map
Yes, it can give directions in Spanish
You'll have to download that language (free) from Garmin.
But before you do anything you must download the free Garmin UPDATER
Do that here:

Mvp overstove micro display dim any way to brighten up

It depends...

If the display is a VFD type, and if a new VFD tube is available as a separate part, then it can be replaced for $39.95 plus parts. We do that.

If it is an LCD type, the backlights can be replaced. We do that, too.

If it's a VFD type but the VFD tube is not available as a separate part, they can usually be brightened up a little.

You would need to remove the control panel assembly, then take the circuit board out of the frame.

(At our site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical control panel assembly in under 5 minutes)

Then use a soft cloth (not a paper towel) with a non-ammonia cleaner and wipe off the front of the glass VFD and the rear of the display window in the plastic frame.

Feel free to contact me directly with your brand and model if you would like me to check into a new VFD tube for yours (if so equipped).

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
