We have a number of phones in the office and mine is to be the main phone. Even though I've adjusted ring and volume on my phone the phone does not ring when incoming calls come in. Other rather, I cannot hear the call coming in. A little arrow flashes, no visible call info and no audible ring. HELP. It seems I've now turned off the ring to another phone while trying to fix mine, and now mine seems to be giving off a static sound when not in use.

No where have I seen this documented in the Norstar Manual. Follow these steps:
Feature **266344
PW: 266344 (note that this is different pw than provided in manuals)
Terminal Sets- press top right button
Enter the extension to which you want to turn the ringer off
Press the top right button again three times until "Show Line" appears. Starting w/ the first line you want to turn off, enter the line and then "change" the status to "appear only", scan through your remaining lines and do the same steps. Remember to do all of the lines in your trunk.

No the manuals locates on the norstar website are just the tutorial telling theat hte hold button put a person on hold...we all know what the function of a hold button is or even a line button is...if someone has some real information please submit it! Oh and i have already tried calling norstar...they tell you to call meridian, then meridian tells you to call norstar...great customer service!

If the internal calls dont ring, then there is something with the extension. When a call is ringing the phone, press the UP VOLUME. Chances are that someone accidentally turned the ringer all the way down.

you can try to plug it in at a set that does ring and make sure it wokrs there. The programming should not have changed with the phone but ... anything is possible. If it rings at the other location then it will be the programming for that extension. Also check that it is not in DND do not disturb

Feature ** 266344 - password 266344 - configuration - line data - line access - show ext (yours) - line assignment ( which lines you have, usually 1 & 2) - show line - appear only/ring/apprear and ring
