SOURCE: Nordictrack motor will not run when start button is pushed.

Likely the cover of one of the motor brushes popped off. Unplug the machine before you pop it back in place, then try it again.

If that doesn't work, most likely it's the motor control board, or possibly the console, or finally just a loose connection behind the console.

But most likely, it's the motor brush cover. I've been seeing that alot with this model.

SOURCE: I have a NordicTrack A2250, about 2 years old.

Will the treadmill work when the chip is not plugged in, or does it just beep every time you select a button? If so, your problem is easy to solve. The board that supports the two adjacent up and down buttons has slipped. To fix, you'll need to remove the panel and remove the 3-inch retaining bar which is held in my two screws. Realign the board so the buttons are free to move in the available slots. Good luck.

SOURCE: NordicTrack T5.3 belt stopped working. It's only 1

HI, its seems like the belt on the motor has either slipped off, or you just need to tighten it. best way to find out is to take off the front pannel showing the motor. then stand on the treadmill. start it and you will see the problem.

My manual does not tell me how to turn off demo mode on my console and I need to turn it off Model #NordicTrack x22i treadmill incline

  • roperly connected to the NordicTrack and plugged fully into a grounded electrical outlet if the machine does not turn on. If the unit is plugged in correctly, look at the reset switch, located on the frame near the power cord. If the switch is flipped open, wait five minutes then push the switch back in.
  • Remove the key from the console, wait a minute and reinsert the key back into the console if the buttons on the console are not functioning properly. If the console stays on when the key is taken out of the console, the device is likely still in "Demo" mode. Hold down the "Stop" button for a few seconds to turn off the "Demo" mode and restart the unit.
  • Turn the machine off and unplug the machine if the console display is not working correctly. Wait a few minutes and plug the machine back into the electrical supply and turn on. The console should now operate correctly.
  • Hold down the "Stop" and "Speed" buttons at the same time if the incline is not changing as desired. Insert the key into the console while holding down the buttons and then release the buttons. Press the "Stop" button and the arrows to increase or decrease the incline. This will cause the incline to recalibrate. Remove the key from the console unit.

Consol on nordictrack T9.1 has error code 58 when I switch it on then it goes in to a loop of the preset programs but you can't select them

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

Step 1

Plug the power cord into a UL 1449 single-outlet surge suppressor and then plug the surge suppressor into an electrical outlet that is not GFCI-equipped if the power does not turn on. If the treadmill is plugged in and the power still does not work, make sure the key is in the console and that the Reset/Off circuit breaker has not been tripped. Press the switch to "Reset" if it has been tripped.

Step 2

Check the Reset/Off circuit breaker if the power switches off while in use. Wait five minutes and switch the button to reset. Check that the power cord is still plugged in securely; pull the plug out and plug it back in after five minutes. Pull out the console key and reinsert to see if the machine will turn back on.

Step 3

Place the chest pulse sensor tightly right underneath your pectoral muscles or breasts for it to operate properly. Position it lower or higher on your chest if it does not work properly. Wet the electrodes with a saline solution. Walk near the walking belt's center within an arm's reach of the console.

Step 4

Remove the console key and unplug the treadmill to loosen the walking belt if it slows when in use. Turn the rear roller bolts counterclockwise with the hex key 1/4 of a turn until you can lift the walking belt's edges 3 to 4 inches from the platform.

Step 5

Remove the key and unplug the treadmill to adjust the walking belt if it is off-center or slips when in use. Loosen the rear roller bolts with the hex key and reposition the walking belt. Tighten the roller bolts. Walk on the treadmill to determine if the walking belt is centered. If not, loosen the roller bolts again and make adjustments until the walking belt is centered.

Step 6

Recalibrate the incline system if the treadmill's incline does not adjust correctly. Press the "Incline" button and remove the console key. Wait a few seconds and replace the console key. The incline will automatically recalibrate by moving to the maximum incline level and then the minimum level.

Step 7

Press the "Stop" button for a few seconds to turn off the demo mode if the console display stays lit after you remove the console key.

Treadmill belt runs too fast and will not power off with control panel

Step 1:

test the speed sensor,m for open or faulty, clean it, and tight the connector. see the diagram attached.
However follow the steps for RUN the.s calibration for fix it.
God bless you
1_7_2013_11_03_18_pm.gif

Step 2:

The Steps for Newer Style Console Calibration:
  1. Locate the calibration area on the rear or underside of the console (a hole, near the console's center, that goes through to the electronics board. (This hole should not have a screw in it.)
  2. Insert a pencil (eraser end), into the hole and feel around for the cal button (will click when pressed).
  3. Press the button 2 times (with the pencil eraser). The first click should show CL11 in the console, the second click should show CL21.
  4. If the process was done correctly, and CL21 appears in the console, you are in "calibration mode." The next few steps consists of pressing buttons on the console and observing settings. This will not require any other tools.
  5. Press ENTER. CL22 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  6. Press ENTER. CL23 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  7. Press ENTER. CL24 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  8. Press ENTER. CL25 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  9. Press ENTER. CL26 should display in the TIME window. You should then see the letter "E."
  10. Press ENTER. You should see "SS" or "55" in the console.
  11. Push the STOP/START button. For safety, at this point, you should step off, or be off, the treadmill.
  12. Push the ENTER button. The walking belt should start to move, accelerate to maximum speed, then stop on its own.
  13. When the belt stops, the incline should self test by raising to its highest incline position, then lowering back down to its lowest position.
  14. Once the incline test is complete, push the POWER button 2 times. The unit should shut off and the console should go completely blank. If this happens, the treadmill is done calibrating and is ready for use.
  15. If the letter "F" appears in the SPEED or INCLINE window when the power button is pressed 2 times, the treadmill is indicating a failure somewhere either in the SPEED or INCLINE (depending on the window the "F" appeared in). Troubleshooting the failure would be the next step.

Nordic. Track incline won't work or calibrate

I have a NordicTrack C2155. Incline not working. There is a schematic inside. There are red, white, & black wires from the circuit board to the incline motor. Unplug the treadmill and have a licensed electrician construct a flying lead cord with a male spade on neutral and female spade plug on hot. Connect neutral to white and hot to where either red or black were connected. Plug in to see if the motor runs. Careful to remove power when the incline reaches its limit and reverse direction. If the motor runs in both directions, the motor is good. Follow the black two conductor wire to the circuit board and unplug from board. Check continuity across this switch. Run motor and this should toggle off and on. If all this checks out then the problem must be with the circuit board. On my treadmill, the schematic says that +5v should supply the sensor, but I only get +3.3v, which is TTL level. The drive motor sensor supply is +5v. The incline motor doesn't even show a sign of trying to run. Either the output transistor is burnt out or the low voltage caused an error so that it does not try to run the motor. Either way, I'm quite certain that a new controller board will remedy the problem.

We have a 600 mx and the pad is not working, the only button working is the start, i cannot increase speed or incline it either.

It is very unusual to have no incline or walking belt operation..
Try entering diagnostic mode and do a calibration. The instructions are found under the motor cover on a tech sheet.
1: with the safety key removed, press stop and speed up simultaniously.
2: Attach the magnetic safety key.
3: press stop 1 time.
4: at this time, by pressing the incline up, the incline should calibrate, going up to maximum then back to minimum..
5: press the speed up key, you will see the numbers on the console increase. The machine should start moving the walking belt around 25-30 on the display. At 85 the belt should be running at maximum speed.
6: press speed down, the machine should stop.
7: remove the safety key. Now replace the safety key and try the machine again. If any of this procedure didn't work, I would suspect a defective console. Otherwise, the motor controller may need replacing.
Good Luck

Our Proform Sport 1000 treadmill will not run because the elevation will not go to 0 degrees. I can hear a clicking as if the teadmill is trying to go flat, but is slipping.

The incline operation and the walking belt operation are independent of each other. The walking belt should run regardless of the incline operation.
Although I have never had a problem with the gears in the incline motor being defective, you may need the motor replaced.. Try an incline calibration.
With the safety key in place, press start to start the machine. Press incline up. While the numbers are changing, remove the safety key. Release the incline up button. Reinstall the key, the machine should calibrate . After calibration, retry the operation normally.
Because the circumstances here are unusual, I would next disassemble the right upright and inspect the wiring harness for damage. During assembly, it is easy to pinch the harness (usually at the bottom of the upright), damaging the wiring to the console. The console may work, the the information may not get to the motor control PCB. The machine may have worked for a period of time before the damage became apparent, the flexing and movement of the frame eventually will eat through the wiring causing a number of unusual symptoms.

Stop button, fan button, up incline button are not working on proform 530. do these buttons have something in common?? fixable without a new console??

If some buttons work, you more than likely have a key pad problem. Unfortunately Icon doesnt sell kep pad seperately. As a last effort, try heating up those buttons wit a blow dryer. This will work temp. sometimes.
