Hi, well this is most likely a Aspect Ratio issue, this can be set via the TV's Menu. You simply need to adjust this aspect ratio, to suit you viewing requirements.

CLOSED CAPTION SELECTION SLEEP 10 To cancel the sleep timer: Press the SLEEP button repeated-ly until "SLEEP 0" is displayed. You may view specially labeled (cc) TV pro-grams, movies, news, prerecorded tapes, etc.with either a dialogue caption or text displayadded to the program.1) Press the MENU button so that the menudisplay appears on the TV screen.2) Press the CH(annel) ▲ or ▼ button to pointto "CAPTION".3) Press the VOL(ume) ▲ or ▼ button to selectthe mode you wish.4) When done, press the MENU button to exit the menu
Then turn OFF.

Yes, but for that you will gonna have to practically dismantle the tv to access the VHS mechanics and move them yourself  manually.

I dont think it's worth getting a repair man to come fix a Symphonic TV... honestly, they are problem prone... and It would cost much less to just buy a whole new one. I have a symphonic tv with no remote, and now, I cant switch into game mode! It's like they designed their tv's to be crappy!

I have a symphonic tv and a emerson universal remote cannot find code anywhere for this tv???? anyone know what to do cheap tv
