Ifthe recharable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall.
ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time.
Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.
Did you mean charged or changed?
If charged, it could be battery has lost depth of charge. You can charge a "tired" battery for hours only to have "surface charge". Just doesn't charge deep into the plates like it used to.
If changed - did you get a big enough battery? That 750 (12 cyl) is a monster on battery and your electrical system is almost in the NASA sphere of complications.
When you receive a new battery unless you get it from a local dealer you will have to fill with acid before charging. The acid is usually supplied in a plastic bottle with the battery.
