Continuosly getting pinch roll error (invalid right position) on Roland versacamm sp-540v

Operation cannot be continued. Check whether or not there is an error in the data. Check for a problem with the connector cable or the computer, and redo the operation from setting up the object to be printed on.Roland Technical Support.

try to clean the Encoder strip of your sp540, gently with alchool isoprophilic
i add a video explaining (the procedure and the result is the same for sp540) i hope this is helpfull. good luck

the 0101 error in sp540 is the Limit Position Initialize has not been done. you find videos on you tube that can help you to do the limit position operation. (you have to enter in Service Mode Menu) its easy to do it yourself. i hope this help.

i add a video explaining how to install sp540v in win7
u need to install the Intercon-NetTool (that u can download from the Roland website) to allow the comunication with the plotter. its all well explained in the video. good luck

i had a similar problem with my sp540 and the solution was the strip (the electrical one, that is connected to the head, broked)
have to be replaced. and everything goes ok .good luck
