Question about 3Com OfficeConnect Dual Speed 16 Plus Networking Switch
How do I receive the wireless signal from my Macbook to a 3com officeconnect dual speed switch 8 plus. The router was given to me so I dont have the manual etc. I can connect all the cables but how do I make my mackbook receive the signal? I've been told I need an IP address. How do I find out what the IP address is?
Also, I cant see a reset button on the router? Do I need to find this as presumably the previous owner had a password to use it.
On a mac u have to go to finder, applications, uttility, network utility and in there under the info tab there is a drop down. in that drop down you have to choose network interface (en1) AND IT GIVES YOU THE IP ADDRESS
