How do I turn off spanish closed caption?

the close caption feature is different than the language in the menu.
Try to find the close caption feature in the menu and get it off. Now if she hit a button then chances are you find some button with that description in the remote control (close caption or text) make sure is off.

Blackout area on screen

Make sure the TEXT and CAPTION options are turned off.

I am not sure about the Sonny's, but on my Toshiba a black box appears when I inadvertently leave one of the close captioning (CC) on for text or captions on (such as CC1, CC2, etc.).

Remove hearing impaired text from screen

If you are using a cable box, then the closed captioning is turned on & off with the cable box, not with the TV remote.

Closed captioning

The closed captioning has to be sent in another language, and your set will follow it. Call the TV station to find out where they are getting the captioning from, or maybe they can get you directly in touch with the captioning people.

The closed captioning is sent as one of the many information packets during the vertical blanking interval. In the NTSC system, it is sent on line 21 in both the even and odd fields. There are usualy 2 closed captioning selections for text. These are the CC1 and CC2. They are decoded according to their address code.

Closed Caption

closed caption depends on your tv stations. If a tv station does not support providng closed captions, then it will not really show closed captions. Closed captions depends really on the feature of a tv station
