First check to see if there any any bits of paper stuck by checking the front and the rear feeder. Also consult your manual to see if it accepts that thickness of paper. It can be found here: http://files.support.epson.com/pdf/r1800_/r1800_ug.pdf The steps in the manual to clear a jam are on page 89 and types of accepted paper are on page 11. Hope this helps.
