Changing the page and print size is usually done on your computer using the installed program that came with the printer. Some printers have a visual display screen on it with button or "touch screen capability" that will allow you to make adjustments. Otherwise, check the owners manual or go to their WEBSITE at:

Hi,please follow these instructions:
1.Place your documents or photo on the scanner
2.depending on your operating system that is windows or Mac, do any any of the following:
Windows:
Double click the Espon scan icon on your desktop or go to start>all programes>Espon scan


MAC Os X,Open the applications folder and then click ESPON SCAN
the espon scan window appears.

3.if the mode setting on the upper right corner is set to FULL AUTO MODE like this, click the scan button
4. the file save settings windows appears
5. You select the folder you want to save in and click OK, it starts scanning in full auto mode
6. the scanned image is saved in the specified location.

Vista OS has different drivers, if it is not compatible, search for Espon Stylus 10 Printer driver on the web.

I have 2 Printer CD Driver for Vista and XP for my Epson Stylus.

The only other thing I can think of is that in some instances security software may prevent the printer software from proper installation. I would try:

1) Uninstall the software, and delete the printer again.

2) Reboot.

3) Redownload the driver (epson13403.exe) or go ahead and download the full driver/utility package (epson13405.exe). Here is the link:
Stylus Photo 1400 Downloads Use the Save option...NOT RUN. Save the file to your desktop.

4) Disconnect from the internet. Disable your antivirus software and your firewall. (Of course you will probably get warnings here. That's OK.)

5) Make sure your printer is ON and the USB cable is NOT connected.

6) Run (double-click) the file you downloaded to install the software. Connect the printer when prompted. If you should get a request during software install to go online to get latest software, cancel it.

7) Once you do a test print, re-enable your security software. Reconnect to the internet.


Should that not work.....Repeat the steps above but when you reboot, press F8 and boot into Safe Mode with Networking.

I'm posting this as a solution, so I am hoping for the best.

This feature needs to be enabled in CMOS, before you could configure in windows.

select your operating system (Windows XP, VISTA, etc.) and download and install the driver.

Double check on printer properties under printers and faxes if 4X6 is selected, then access printer properties as well on the application or program where you are printing the images by clicking File then print option. Make sure Epson is the default printer.

Try this..

Close the CD/DVD guide, then press the maintenance button.
If the CD/DVD tray is inserted, remove the CD/DVD tray, then close the CD/DVD guide
