it can be accessed via the main unit controls but you need to go through your manuals. Maybe you can get your remote repaired still... maybe not badly damaged caused by corrosion.

the capacitor is on the board that is on it's side (standing up as opposed to laying flat) it is the longest board it also has most of the input jacks housed on it. the supper capacitor is on the top side middle area and it looks like a button and is either blue or black. it is a .047F 5.5 volt super cap located at C633 part number WD294400 get it at www.vancebaldwin.com .
