How put window vista back to factory setting without a disk
@jamiegard461
Toshiba laptops have a built-in recovery mode on the system wherein you don't
need to use a disc to restore it to factory default. The hotkey for the
recovery is the 0 key (don't use the key on the numpad if you have one). To activate it, you need to turn the computer off, then you need to hold the 0 key then turn the computer back ON. If you hear a continuous beep, you can let go of the key and It will then say "Windows is loading files". If
this doesn't work, that means that this computer doesn't have the hidden partition for you to restore the unit to factory defaults (either it's faulty or it's not there) and you need to order the recovery discs from Toshiba at 1-800-457-7777 if you purchased the computer in the US and for Canada, it's 1-800-663-0378.
If you're still under warranty, they'll give it to you for
free.
Cheers
