I have a Dometic LP-Gas and Electric travel trailer refrigerator. I had my trailer hook up to my generator and had a power surge. I blew all my A/C lights. I replaced the lights and check all systems, all is well except the fridge. I have 120 A/C at J4 and J5 on the main board. I have a light when the door is open. I have lights on the panel above the freezer. The check light stays on all the time. I have some electronic repair background from my time in the Army. What I do not have is current flow and output for A/C on the man board and DC voltage flow. I believe since the 3 and 5 AMP fuse did not blow one the main board, my problem is the power board on the front panel. Can you offer any help. We are due to travel to Flordia in 8 days and I would like to have the fridge working.
Model 2652 Refrigerator The fridge has been perfct till this last trip. the auto light is on and its not getting cold no red lights and i have pluged in as well as unpluged propain is full but i see some yellow dust inside the big cyinder.we may have left the frezzer door open for a couple hour.
On the burner tube there are the two main components after & before the board first check the thermostat on the burner tube for 12vdc if that is good then your 12v side is good now as for the ac side what happens is the board use 12v to turn on everything so for 120vac check the heating element on the burner tube it is a l shape peace of metal with 2-4 wires depending on the modle check the resistance chart for your refer 7 preforme a test on the element i think it is 90 ohms if it reads open or higher replace the element you can get the part from dometic pull the element out to do the test also on the side of the element there are #s use that to get the correct part from dometic

Thank you, I left the system running and found out my LP side is good. During my checks I check the resistance on the heating element and it is good. I let the unit run over night a found my LP side is working fine. The check light stays on, I believe because when on Auto it is finding a problem with the AC side and is cooling only on LP. I went ahead and ordered the lower circuit board and am waiting for it to arrive. We are leaving for vacation next weekend so I am willing to take a chance hoping I am right. If this doesn't work I will use my cooler that plugs in to AC. Maybe I will find a place on the way to where we are going. Thanks again.
Elli, I have not checked the defrost heat or timer, is there anything else to check
