You can uncheck the songs on iTunes library first, and then sync iPod with iTunes, the songs will be deleted from your iPod. Or you may try this iTunes alternative, it's easy to delete your iPod songs, videos and photos.

SOURCE: usb driver for ipod shuffle

Hi!

You need to have the software Itunes to copy the song on your computer to your IPOD.

Once the shuffle has been detected by the computer, you can then use itunes.

SOURCE: Deleting songs from Ipod Nano 8GB

When you connect the ipod nano to the computer, you can do one of two things: you can go to the ipod's main home page in itunes and go to the bottom where it will have four options listed. 1 of them should say manually manage files. Click on the check box next to it and it should ask you if you are sure and click yes. Then go into your music folder of your ipod and delete the songs you don't want on there. To add music, all you have to do is click and drag what you want onto the oped. The second way you could do it is to go into your library before connecting your nano to your computer and un-checking all of the boxes next to the music you do not want on your nano and then connect it to a computer and let it sync. The first way is easiest and less time consuming as you only have to do it once. Hope this helps!

I cant upload any songs nor delete any songs

It sounds like you have a memory problem. You need to check to see what type of files they are. Select a song in itunes and choose get info from the file menu, then check the format. If it isn't aac that is your problem. Convert the songs to aac, it takes awhile but will free up memory. Also check the actual memory usage. Connect your ipod to comp then select it in itunes, open the ssettings tab. On the bottom is a colored bar showing how much memory and the ipod uses and what it is for. If all else fails resort to the five r's.

IPOD Shuffle deletes songs if I delete them from the music library in Itunes

You have to keep all the songs that you want on your iPod on your computer, otherwise you will get this problem. So if you want song "a" on your iPod it must also be in your iTunes library at all times unless you don't want it on your iPod anymore

How to delete music off of the ipod shuffle?

You can either do a restore:
Connect to your computer and open itunes.
When you first open itunes you should be in "Devices"
Make sure you're in the "Summary" tab and you will have a button that says "Restore"
Click that and it will do the rest.

Or
Sync with an itunes library that has no files on it, this will also remove the files from your ipod.
