SOURCE: Fan Not Working

Sounds like a motor problem...but not necessarily. Cut power to the unit. Expose the motor assembly. Turn the fan by hand...if it is jammed or hard to turn...replace that motor. Not that? There is likely a motor connector. Get a test light at the hardware store. Disconnect the motor and then probe the wires coming to the connector from the power side (with the power on again) to see if the tester glows. Yes...bad motor. No, find the bad connection. It is possible that this unit uses a multi switch...if that's the case, there will be three wires coming out of it...One is power in...the others go to the light and the fan. Then, the switch will be the culprit. Hope this helps.

The fan making a noise when in use how can this be fixed?

My guess that it is a lack of lubrication problem. If the fan bearings are now worn to the point that the fan is touching something it may be that you have waited too long to save it.

I replaced the bulb on a 72" toshiba because the old one was flickering after almost 3 years.the new bulb slid into place perfectly but no picture.I placed the old one back in and now it does the same...

Hi,Did you close the door cover? Did you reset the lamp timer? To do it you can just unplug it wait 5 min and plug it back again. Make sure the fans are running ok.Pay attention to any strange noises ,if you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on , it could be a ballast issue which is the board that powers the lamp.God bless you!
