Incoming callers names dont show up..

I just got the I9 phone from china and even though all my contacts are in my phone persons name doesnt show up when they call or text me. I've tried saving them to my sim and phone and nothing works. The number will show up when they call but not the persons name.. What do I need to do?

I had the same problem with my hello kitty china phone. what i did was change all my contact's number's with +1416... instead of just 416. now, when they send you msgs, their names will now appear.

Try double entry the fon no. of your contact person on phone book data. Put cefon. no, w/ country code (+ __) and the other one with out country code. You can use other entry - the fax no. or office. no..

Check and see if your contacts have the country code added to the front of their mobile numbers.

E.g Samoa (00685) mobile number or (+685)
NZVF (0064) 21XXXXXXXX not 021XXXXXXXXXX

its either because you don't have caller Id

My nokla c5-03 couldn't show the caller's name though it's saved in my phone it's only show caller's no.
There are two reason for this: 1. The SIM card has problem. Try to use another SIM card
2. You have saved same no. in two different caller names. So phone doesnt show any of them.

Hi,

there may be 2 reasons for it

1.I hope you stored the caller name and number in your mobile.

If you haven't stored it please store the name and number in your phone and it will show the caller name when he/She calls you.

2.Even though you stored the caller name and number and still you get only the number,Then please check weather the same number is stored twice in different names.If this is the case also the mobile shows only the number when the caller is calling you.

Callers' name doesn't show even though i have them in my contacts
Hi,

Solution 1

Some caller's names does not appear even though they are on your contact list because you have then copied twice on your phone. What you'll need do it to delete one contact each for the caller id's that don't show when they call in. Once you get this done, your phone phone would begin to show contacts on your phone.

If you want to know if this true, then get someone around you and save his/her name twice then ask him/her to call you. You'll notice that the caller id would not appear, but once you get one of the contacts deleted and ask him/her to call you back, you'll discover that the caller's id would begin to show.

Solution 2

For your access point, just define it the next time you switch on your phone and save it. Then it would not have to change the next time you turn your phone on/off.

Solution 3

To get rid of the welcome go to Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Personalization >

You can set it from here.

Cect i9 caller id does not show names
let me give you an eg:

i stored an number 984802338 in my mobile with name jhon in my sim, when he calls me up it doesnt show the name.

It is because when he calls me, i observe the number it starts with +919848022338 so it is quite different from the number(9848022338)  you stored in the sim so you caller id doesnt show his name and shows as new user.

so 9848022338 is quite different from +919848022338(here +91 is country code)

1/set ur phone on his factory defaults

2/try to copy the contacts from ur SIM card to ur phone memory so it will be able to recongnize the numbers in his memory!!

Caller id
Save your contacts to the phone. Personalized caller ID only works from the phone, not the sim. Go to contacts then press the contact name once to select it.  Press the menu button (bottom left) on phone and scroll to 'copy to phone'.  You should see the caller name when they ring then.
 (I bought a sim back-up device so that I can keep the sim clear. If caller information is on both the phone and sim it gets listed twice in your contacts).
