Try resetting the electronics to factory defaults. Re the flash - if it continues to stick get it open and leave it like that until you find out just what it is that is causing it to stick. Mechanical issue and do able.

SOURCE: THIN VERTICAL WHITE LINE on my photos

Close the lens with the lens cap set the camera in manual mode and take two or three shots. Or take shots at darkness still if you see the white line may be CCD or circuit fault. If you don't see it the problem is with the lens.

SOURCE: Cant take photos as it says the card is write protected

Take your memory card out of the camera and switch the position of the little "lock" tab. That should fix it and you can start saving images.

1. My Sony KP-57WS500 TV is turning blue after abut 3 minutesof operation. It stays that way for about 30 miunes and comes back with pictures again, but with predominatly blue color. 2. Sometimes the TV...

Sounds like the picture tubes are failing, common on sony. do you notice any thin horizontal lines? You mite get lucky and be able to adjust the voltages. Remove back cover and look inside to see which tubes are lighting up.The front panel below the screen will come off and behind it is a small access cover.remove it. there you will find the voltage controls (its a plastic square with 6 knobs). 2 knobs for each tube, 1 is focus the other is the voltage labeled "screen". they are marked so look closely. Green is always in the middle but sometimes they flip the controls for red and blue so pay attention to which you are controlling .slowly adjust screen voltages to see if you can get it to stay on. If you over do it those thin horizontal lines will pop up and the tv will shut off again. If you already have lines back off the voltage by turning knob to the left slowly until they diappear. If that seems to fix it but the problem but it comes back later, then the tubes are shot. good luck!

Thin blue line

I am a Sharp Servicing Technician. You posted this before. Ive got the same model TV as you do LC46D62U. I think the line you are experiencing is simply the broadcast. I notice it on some HD shows that broadcast the side bars. (Always on the Ellen Degeneres Show). Ive taken some picture.

1) Here's the line on the left that i experience

2) Later on in the broadcast, it goes away.

One way to check if its a TV problem or not. When the line shows up again, hit the MENU button on the remote. If the line appears to be "behind" the menu, then it is simply the broadcast.
a6f48e8.jpg

If the line appears to be "on top" of the menu or shows right through the menu, then it is a TV problem.

Im thinking the reason it takes hours for hte line to appear is because it only shows up on certain shows or certain HD broadcasts.

Mistubishi WD-52527 52" LCD Projection TV

those are going to be dust spots on the LCD panels internal to the optical engine. i suggest that you take the screen off and take off the panel i nthe middle of the tv with 2 screws in it and there will be an area that has 3 metal fins covering thin orange ribbon cables. the 3 square objects at the end of those ribbon cables will be the LCD panels spray wiht air compressor unitl clean and that should greatly help your problem.

Blue tint and lines on screen.

Those lines sound like "retrace lines" and several things can cause them. The most common are shorts inside the picture tube and shorted semiconductors in the video driver circuits. They can also be seen if the blue screen voltage is too high or if someone has tampered with the screen voltage control.

Vertical, pencil-thin blue line appears after 10 minutes of viewing (any source)

I would suspect a connection breaking down as the set heats up. A shop will probably have to put the set in a stand to hold it while they check for loose connections or defective components inside. Not a DIY job by any means. If this line went completely through the picture either vertically or horizontally and stayed there then this would have indicated a failure in the Panel itself. A thin Line any where on the screen consisting of one pixel in width is a Panel Failure according to Hitachi.

The TV turns on and you can hear the sound but the picture is dark except for a thin line of blue dots in the center of the screen.

You have whats known in the biz as a cold solder connection on the vertical output IC or on the associated components. Not a job for the handi-man unless you know the issues with safty, and precautions to take with Hi voltage inside of tv sets. Shouldnrt cost much for the local shop to find your problem . Now on rare occations the poor connections are inside the IC and the IC has to be replaced. Good Luck
