Smoke alarm went off None of the other smoke alarms went off just the 1 I have a CO alarm and that didnt go off either Smoke alarm has a green light on and a red light that flashes every 30 seconds

Most smoke alarms depend on a mirror and laser. If the one is question is near a bathroom, it probably went off after someone took a shower? The steam from the bathroom will fog the mirror and set it off. Same problem if it is near a source of cold air on a cold day with heat on in the house. If the problem is cold air from the attic, go to the attic and move the insulation. Seal the hole for the wires with canned foam like Great Stuff, and put the insulation back over it.

I suffer from a build up of steam in my bathroom, I have an extractor fan and was wondering if fitting a humidistat may help.

If the build up only occurs when the shower is operating, it wouldn't be worth the money, time and effort. Check the fan, by removing the cover. It may need a good cleaning. As they do collect dust, lint and hair when they are in operation. Also, running it properly, may solve the problem. The fan should be ON prior to starting the shower and remain on at least 15 minutes (some manufacturer's recommend 30 minutes) after the shower is completed. If you bathroom has a window, opening that at least 1/2", allows the fan to pull in fresh air to help eliminate the humidity. Of course, in the dead of Winter, you don't want to open the window. As the cold air will turn the humidity/steam into water droplets.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

I took a shower with my kc3771 watch in the bathroom. I didnt even get it wet but a little steam got. How do i open the case to dry the steam.

Don't open it. Take it to a watchmaker and have him/her dry it out. If you refuse to do that then pull the stem out and set it in a sunny window for a few days or use a hair drier. I always know what time it is in the shower without a watch, when the hot water runs out, it's time to get out!

No hot water in sink and shower

it sounds like 1(or more) of the motorised valves arent working.find the valve and make sure you are getting power to it via a tester,if so then it probably needs the head on the motorised valve changed

Our Steamist steam shower is probably a few years

That is a main problem with the analog systems. Just not reliable as the new digital systems. To my best knowledge there is only one manufacturer making the 100% digital steam generators.

Mr. Steam's MS225

Steam unit should be one ( Maybe two) downspout outlets knee heighth or LOWER. Is it possible you have a body spray system also. Has the shower been used yet?? The outlets that are higher are probably for the body spray system.

Please rate this response and Good Luck, Phil
