How do i clean filter at bottom of hotpoint condenser tumble drier. Water coming out at base.

if you mean the condeser itself ...it just pulls out..........best way to clean is with a hosepipe gets all the fluff out....but.if you have water leaking...........best bet is to check the tank at the rear.....at the bottom of the base.....the tank operates via a piece of plastic or fibre which floats up as the tank fills.....which inturn hits a micro switch
...setting the pump going to pump the water to the empty tank........check the float first.........

cheers

My hotpoint condensed dryer is steaming up my windows and I don't know why as I thought that was the point of the condenser. It's model number is Tcm 850, anyone got any suggestions or can help, thanx

Hello Scot, just make sure the fluff filter is clean and the exit tube for the air is clean they should just slide out fluff filter and pull off the fluff and the air exit tube normally get quite dirty with fluff and debris. So take that out and take it outside and wash it through with a hose from both ends. The water tray should also be emptied regularly but the panel will tell you when that is full.
Hope that helps

Wd440 not drying. how does the fluff get emptied?

Because it is a washer dryer, there is no fluff filter to clean.
It is self cleaning, because the fluff is washed away by cold water entering the condenser and flushing the fluff away.
Trust this answers your query.

Dryer runs no water enters condenser draw, empty water light on.

Remove the filter draw on the bottom left, and wash out under running water to flush out all fluff.
Reach inside opening and clean as much fluff anf gunge as you can from the cavity.
Get a plastic bag tie, reach and feel for a small at the rear of the compartment, and poke hole clear..
If this does not solve the prob, then it is probably a sticking or faulty float valve., or switch.
This involves a complete strip down to access these components.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Thermostat keeps blowing on Hotpoint Aquarius dryer

Remove the filter completely from the bottom left of m/c
Wash out thoroughly under running water.
Reach in with your hand and clear any fluff and gunge you can find there.
At the rear of the filter housing there is a small drainage hole that blocks up.get a plastic bag tie or similar and poke it clear. Also there is a float chamber and some times the float sticks, this being the case , then it involves a complete strip down to clear prob.
Hope this helps
Plz rate solution

Dryer runs but does not heat

I have just had a similar problem and fixed it today.
The "Empty Water" light was staying on and no heat was given out to dry the load.
I found it to be the float switch in the condenser unit at the back left. It had stuck with fluff and debris. I cleaned out the condenser reservoir and the polystrene float and now all is well.
To get to this unit you must first,
Take of the top and the left hand side panel.
Locate the 2 locking tabs that hold the top half of the condenser onto the back panel and release this part.
Remove this by releasing 2 further tabs that hold it to it's bottom half,
and you will see the float switch assembly on the left hand side.
Clean out the condenser reservoir of any water and aslo clean the polystyrene float, it needs to be free to slide up and down between the plastic guides.
Hope this helps.
