Our TV in the Ref. door developed the following problem: About 3 months ago the picture started to be distorted. The distortion started from the right side of the TV with a white section with no picture. The white (no picture) part became bigger, the rest of the picture got more distorted. Sound is O.K. - Then suddenly the picture was perfect again. It lasted about a week. Then it went bad again, only to become briefly perfect again for a day. Now we have no picture, only occasional lines. The TV is fed by a Satellite Dish line which works fine.
We have contacted several service organizations. No Luck.
We need help, please.

I have the same problem. Any info on this would be appreciated.
This may be too late to help, but i just went through this problem. The picture slowly got worse, until one day it was all a grainy white. I took the TV apart, and found some capacitors on the TV circuit board that were bulging. After a trip to Radio Shack to purchase replacements (I needed three capacitors total), I desoldered & removed the bad ones. I then replaced them with new capacitors ( be careful about the polarity...there's a stripe for the negative lead). After soldering them in place, and getting it reinstalled, the picture is better than it has been in a long time.
