What does F5E2 mean in cleaning my oven - Whirlpool RBS275PD Electric Single Oven

The code F1 Gibson gas self-cleaning oven means
Oven Control Failure. You need to go through the manual
And check for possible solutions if you are getting an f1 error.

An F5 error code indicates that you need to check the oven door or the latching switch. The switch is used when cleaning the oven, for safe closure. If you find that the door or the latch switch do not function, you may need to replace them
F5-E2 means latch during clean error; the door and latch switch need checking and possible replacement.

1. If door latched:

1. Disconnect power from unit.
2. Check wires and connectors from control to door switch, then from door switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
3. Replace door switch.
4. Re-apply power.
5. Press and hold any key down for 1 minute to clear F5 failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.

2. If door not latched:

1. Disconnect power from unit.
2. Check wires and connectors from control to latch switch, then from latch switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
3. Repeat steps A and B for door switch.

3. Measure door switch (door open = switch open small low voltage terminals). Replace switch if defective.
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open, CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
6. If failure remains, disconnect power and replace control.

If by 'transfer the self clean' you mean just putting the oven liner panels from one oven to the other then maybe, but if you mean to transfer the high temperature clean cycle oven complete including wiring alterations then i would have to advise you NOT to do so on fire safety grounds as i'm sure it would invalidate any warranties and more importantly breach your home insurance conditions.

It means that somwthing went bad in there.... shut it down and read this tip....

Hi, F3 code means Shorted or open oven temperature sensor (RTD)
Solution Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

This means that the Thermistor that is used by the thermostat has gone Faulty, a common thing after using the oven clean function, this needs to be replaced.

On your model it should mean a defective door latch switch.
It will have to be replaced.
