If you have just installed this unit in your window for the season, you may want to wait a day or so, for everything in the unit to settle, and try again. You make have shaken it up a bit too much. If not.....sounds to me like it is kicking out on high head pressure. This happens when refrigerant gets too low, or there is air in the refrigerant system. There is nothing you can do to solve this problem, except take it to a repair shop. If I am correct what happens is you turn the unit on, and the fan and compressor start simultaneously, then after a few seconds (maybe up to a minute) the compressor kicks off, and the air gets warm, then the compressor kicks on for a few seconds, and we repeat. This is actually a safety mechanism for the compressor motor so it does not run without refrigerant. (That would destroy the pump.)

Mitsubishi ac keeps on turning itself off

If the compressor overheats, the clixon circuit will shut off the power to the motor to prevent damage. Then when it cools it will close the circuit and the compressor will again run to only shut down again.
The suction line going to the compressor should be cold - the cold gas returning to unit cools the hermetically sealed motor. If that line is hot you may be low on refrigerant.

No power to portable air condition

If the filters are clogh with dirt , the unit breaker will shut it off ,it's avery common problem , but if after the filters were cleaned it keeps shutting off , could be a bad fan motor or the compressor itself could be grounded.

Kenmore air conditioner #25370156000 wont turn off

My educated guess is this would be a relay on the (or one of the) circuit boards. If you can access the internals parts try tapping on the boards which might allow the relay to release. A relay controls large amounts of current with small amounts of current (this means the controls can be small, working with small currents, also low voltages to control the relay on/off function.

Kenmore 110 ac model 25370156000

sounds like 1 of 2 problems. first, check the condensor coil for dust, dirt, lint on the inside of the unit. this is the coil thats on the back of the unit that is outside. it can be sprayed out with a garden hose. make sure the unit is unplugged and let it drain for a hour or so. if the coil is not dirty, then the unit has developed a freon leak and needs to be serviced.
