Vista fail to activate 25 digit key

This article describes how to troubleshoot problems that you may experience when you try to activate a 2007 Microsoft Office application. Additionally, this article contains several methods that you can use to troubleshoot activation issues.

Scenario 1

When you successfully started a 2007 Office application and all functions worked correctly for you in the past, the 2007 Office application now runs in a reduced functionality mode.

Scenario 5
When you start a 2007 Office Trial version for the first time after you complete License Activation, the 2007 Office Trial version runs in a reduced functionality mode, and the Office Activation Wizard is displayed. Additionally, the following text is displayed:

2007 Office system is expired. In this expired state, many features of the version are unavailable until you convert to the full product. Click Convert to begin the conversion process.

When you try to obtain an activation key for a trial version of the 2007 Microsoft Office system over the Internet, you receive the following error message:The Microsoft Activation Assistant was unable to request your trial activation key

Maybe you have a free trial version of Office 2007 and the trial period has ended. Or possible that you did not activate your Office software after installing it.

To check if it is activated you can go to start , Word 2007 and click on Office Button ' Word Options ' Resources ' Activate. If you are already activated, a dialog box saying so will appear. If ynot activated, the Activation Wizard will start. If you have an expired free trial version, a dialog box will prompt you to enter a valid product key or convert (purchase a key) online.

Sometimes, it is difficult to convert the trial to a full version. The easiset thing to do is uninstall your trial version and then reinstall it using your serial number. You can find the download of the trial on Microsoft's website for installation.

You do not need a key to use the free trial which you obviously know. Once you have used the product 25 times you will have to buy the software in order to continue using it in full function mode. Once you purchase the software you will receive the product key. You said you have used it 25 times but you then say you didn't get to use the free trial. Did you or did you not use it?

I think that the Office that comes with a new PC(Dell, HP, Compaq, etc.) is a trial only.

Your OS trial period has been expired , now you want to activate the xp you must be enter the original product key, if you don't have you can buy a paper licence or OEM pack from microsoft dealer afterthat you will get the product key ( its a 25 Nos key).

Vista needs to be activated within 30 days from install or it will lock up. Use the online activation or the phone activation to solve the problem.
