Use the Samsung Firmware Updater to fix it. Mine did what all of you are speaking about. I was ready to toss it then I tried the firmware updater on the CD and it fixed it. You must copy all the files from the \setup\Programs\ and \setup\Binary\ folders on the Samsung CD to a folder on your hard drive. Then connect the player via USB and run stupdaterapp.exe. It will search for the device and pop up a menu. Check the Format Data Are box and click start. It takes a few minutes and wipes the device clean but it fixed mine.

U Just reformat the whole MP3 player but before resetting again u have 2 save all of ur files on the MP3. How 2 reset ur MP3:
1. Open "My Computer"
2. Right click on ur MP3
3. Go to "Format..."
4. Click on "Start"
5. Leave it and once it finishes u must check to see if it says the remaining memory on the disk. If not then I'm not sure wat 2 do.

Format the mp3 player with FAT , not FAT 32,
and 16 bitar.
that will solve the problem of reading the files. It did for me :)

I'm afraid to hit the reset button because surely, It will erase all the files in it right? It might also happen if I updated it's firmware. It is working as an mp3 player but when I connect it to the computer, it's not visible. I mean, It can't be trace and it's as if it's not actually there.
