My HP Photosmart C5180 Keeps displaying an "Out of Paper" and even though the paper tray is loaded, it won't take the paper to print!! Any ideas of what is wrong

Go into printers and faxes, right click on your HP PHotosmart printer, click on properties, in the general tab click on printer preferences, on the advanced tab make sure the paper type is Automatic so the printer will acknowledge any type paper put into the tray.
This may allow the printer to see your photopaper. Also try to remove the paper completely and put it back in the tray, make sure the paper is pushed all the way to the front of the tray.

Check the paper input well on the printer there might be some forgien object blocking the paper pickup rollers, especially if you have small children around they like to stik objects into the well, or maybe a paper clip or penny is lodged in the unit you might want to remove all paper and turn the printer towards the ground and shake gently to see if anything falls out. Also open the paper jamm on the back of the printer to make sure no peices of paper is stuck.
When you get that message, ususally the rollers that pick up the paper have stuff on them that's made them slick. This video shows how to clean the rollers (and some other steps as well).
On the printer, press the setup button, then go to preferences, the DPOF tray select, select main tray, then select the return button (bottom left from directional pad).

how can i print 4x6 photo paper ? it says load paper in the main tray its only printing with large plain paper , even if its set to photo tray , and if i put the 4x6 in the main tray it says wrong paper zize ...
