Rule #1: TURN OFF THE POWER AT THE BREAKER PANEL.
A fluorescent light ballast is a transformer that outputs a higher voltage than the input (120 volts). The electrocution hazard is very real.
Practically all ballasts have a drawing printed on the label. As a master electrician I still need the drawing to install them properly. Electronic ballasts should have a black and white wire for input voltage. The output to the lamps will be some combination of: red, yellow, blue.
The new ballast must also be matched to the type of lamp. Old fluorescent lamps were T12 (refers to the diameter). New lamps are T8 and produce more lumens with lower amperage.
these are Panasonic arc lamps .. the numbers 100-120 indicates the intended voltage range of operation .. the /1.3 or /1.4 is the current in amps .. so the 1.4 is slightly higher current and likely a bit brighter .. thats 156 watts vs. 168 watts .. arc lamps are much more efficient than incandescent so 150 watts in an arc lamp is a lot more light than a 150 watt incandescent...
You need to replace your DLP lamp...easy fix that you can do yourself. If, you buy from the Sony website it will cost more. Try looking online and make sure the lamp is Sony Certified Replacement part and you should find the bulb by itself for $90 - $120 or cheaper or in a rebuilt housing for approx. $160.00
The scanner uses a "twain" driver, try searching for that, it may be one of the files you already downloaded. Just look in the download u got. Also try going to add hardware, select the scanner there and poit it to the downloaded file when uit asks if you have a disk that came with it. Download the drivers to your desktop, rt click and open a folder on the desktop, and drag all of the drivers and the Twain one especially, into the folder.
continuous blinking green light indicates that the capacitors have failed on the DM pwb. You need the V26 DLP DM repair kit which is available at the following link under their repair category. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
