How do I thread the bobbin in a Kenmore 14 stitch machine

Does the top of the machine lift up ? if so, there may be a diagram under there. And you can get a manual from Sears too, which will have the directions in it. But it's not hard to thread, has a very basic threading system. Put thread on spool holder, with thread coming out from the front of the spool. Pull out a foot or so of thread, slip it into the guide at rear of machine, where the two main sections appear to join together, right at the top of the machine. Then pull thread forward from the guide, across the top of the machine. There may be a guide at the front edge of the machine top, if so, slip thread into that guide. It's been awhile so I can't recall if there is or isn't a front guide at the top. But then you go down the front of the machine, where you slip thread underneath the bottom of the section with the two vertical slots. Lift thread upward and gently over to the left 'til it catches in the hook. You can move the handwheel to move the hook if need be, it can be hard to catch if it's right at the top of it's travel. Once thread is in the hook, take the thread down to toward the needle. There's a little guide slot above the needle that you slip the thread into, just a simple wire hook mounted sideways. Slip thread into it from the open, left side, toward the right 'til it's caught, then pull down to thread needle, from the front to the back.

Knittin a baby cardie. Pattern says to knir and purl 11 stitches n turn. This to b done 5 times. I gav 5 sections of 11 stitches on each side. Some stitches left. Told to cast off. Do i jus cast off...

I am guessing that you were knitting the arm hole on the sweater. You should have cast off the remaining stitches beyond the 11 when you came to them. If you cast off each area separately, you should be okay. Cast of the 11, cut and tie you thread, the cast off the remaining stitches.
