If the noise get louder as you speed up, it is possibly a wheel bearing, needs checking out by a mechanic.

You must replace wheel bearings in pairs to avoid loading the old bearing and, in time ruining your new bearing hub it is possible that you have already damaged the new hub

SOURCE: loud humming noise from front end of Durango 4 x 4

You have a hub/wheel bearing going out. You need to jack up the vehicle on each side. Grab the top and bottom of the wheel and try to move it in/out at the top and bottom. If this does not work then roll the wheel as fast as you can and see if you can hear which one it is. Good Luck.

SOURCE: Faint to loud humming noise while driving and turning...

Could be either a loose belt or you are low on power steering fluid,or the power steering pump could just be worn out.

What could cause a low pitched humming when excelerating in a 2006 huyandi getz.?

A wheel bearing maybe, or in a manual, the gearbox first motion bearing.

Another candidate is the differential, but in a FWD car this is usually nothing to worry about.

You have a defective wheel bearing most likely, the noise sounds correct for that problem. have a shop drive it before you replace anything to confirm my guess.

Humming noise while driving from left side wheel

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

If you feel that humming noise then it's definitely a worn out wheel bearing. It is connected on the wheel hub. You will need to remove the CV (constant velocity) joint to gain access to the wheel bearing. Have it replaced to get rid of the humming noise.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Without more information it is hard to tell. Is the humming noise variable depending on the speed that you are driving or constant? Could be ground, radio, pulley, compressor noises hard tell.
