Just bought an HTC Magic. I want to transfer all the information to, first to the my laptop (back-ups...)
I´m trying to get all the contacts i have on Outlook 2003, of a HTC P4350, with Windows Mobile 5.0 ;
i´m using Windows XP SP3, ActiveSync 4.5 ; i´ve got more than 800 vcards
No problems with instalation of ActiveSync, but, when i connect the HTC P4350 to the laptop, i get the message windows xp doesn´t install it,
due to the absence od proper drivers.
I´m still looking for the "right driver", but if you have already some experience on how to solve it, please, email me the answer to [email protected].
In fact, i´ve already contacted the store where i bought the new HTC, and i only bought the new model because i really enjoyed to work with the older one
(meaning, if i can t solve this problem, probably, i´ll change to another manufacturer)

Active sync 4.5 is the software for windows XP

Unfortunately SP3 does not work with active sync and I don't see any other programs, uninstall SP3 and active sync will work again.
turning off the windows firewall from control panel might help, if not, uninstall sp3 from add or remove programs. check the box show updates.
