Kuds30fxss built in dishwasher contol panel leds do not light up and buttons are nonresponsive. The wash cycle runs and won't stop.

br, sounds like you have a stuck keypad. This would be the only reason it is switching to a different cycle. Catriver..post back.

You want to make sure that the dishwasher is level and secure first of all. Then I would look into the door latch assy. Sounds to me that you are not making all the latch switches when closing normally. When you are slamming it, you are making the switches. The heating element runs through the neutral side of switches, therefor if the switch is broken or the latch is not making, no heating of the water. This results in a default or very long wash time. about the only thing to try would be to remove the inner door panel to get to the control bd then you will see a mylar ribbon looks like a fat piece of scotch tape pull up on the plastic connector that holds it in and pull the ribbon out then get a clean pencil eraser and gently clean the ribbon and put it back in dont forget to push the locking tab back down then try it again and let me know
