HDMi ( no signal, not supported) doesn't work with Dmr-Ez47v

I am trying to use the HDMI port of my LCT2785TA with a Panasonic DMR-EZ47V. The TV shows no signal, not supported, with 480i or 480p in the top left corner. I have tried the DMR with another TV and the HDMI port works fine. Is this TV HDCP compatible? Is the HDMI port compliant with current specs? Where can I go to find out if these two items are compatible. How can resolve this issue? I have tried 2 DMR's, , 2 different HMDI cables. The first cable has gold connectors , 19 pin , latest technology. The second cable had a bandwidth of 5 gig. I could not find a cable labeled ver. 1.1. I have connected the DMR and HDMI cable to another flat panel TV with no problems. I have contacted Akia tech support not getting anywhere. They have stated that the HDMI port would only work with ver, 1.1 or 1.2 cable. I purchased the low bandwidth cable with no success. Akai now says that the HDMI port will accept the signal because it is coming from an HDCP device. Help Help Help ! Thanks! I have connected my HDMI cable to my Laptop and my TV, and keep getting a message saying "No Signal". Can anyone help me to resolve the problem? Many thanks.

Any HDMI cable manufactured in the last couple of years should all be HDMI 1.1 compliant, your problem is most likely the logic board in the TV itself or the HDMI connector on the logic board has a bad connection..

Have you tried hooking-up a standard DB15 VGA cable to the AKAI TV and your laptop?

If this works your problem is in the TV and will most likely have to be repaired to receive the HDMI signal since your Panasonic DVR and your laptop are not recognized by the HDMI input on the TV.

Good luck!

Code F60 on DMR-Ez47V

Unfortunately, the F60 error means that the video processing board (digital PCB board with the HDMI port on it) has a failure. Often this happens when the capacitors on the board fail. Replacing the board or the failed components on the board is usually necessary. Some of the components may be available here: https://www.encompassparts.com/model/MSCDMREZ47V/_/_/Panasonic/DMREZ47V/DVD_RECORDER .

First you can try to reset the unit. Unplug it. Then plug it in after a few minutes. Then when you see the string of 0's, press and hold the power button. Then try to power up the unit normally. Alternatively, press and hold Stop and Hold while you power on the DMR-EZ47V.

I hope this helps. Unfortunately, I am not sure which part number applies to the part you need from the PC Boards available from the site above.

Picture from analog tv signal is not sharp

I have this same machine, you did'nt mention what input you are using (composite, S-Video, component or HDMI) or what type of display you have (CRT, LCD, Plasma etc.).
If your T.V. has a HDMI input I recommend using that, if not and it's of fairly recent vintage use the component inputs (not to be confused with composite video inputs, or yellow RCA-type input).or at the very least use the S-Video input.
In the setup menu (on screen) try setting the "TV Screen" option to the 480p setting and if you are using the HDMI input try setting that to the highest resolution your T.V. has or set it to "Auto"
Finally in the on screen video menu select the "Video" setting and set the "Still Mode" option to automatic, and the "Output Level" to lighter or darker whatever your preference is.
Remember...Always use HDMI or component video inputs on your television (if it has those inputs)!
Hope this helps!
