You ran 20 volts into a 12 volt system?!?! You exceeded the specs of the electronics by 6 volts, so you will have damaged electronic computer components. You will need an auto electrician with a pro grade $5,000 scan tool computer to diagnose what modules and sensors have failed due to the over-voltage.

I would go to Kenwoods website and look for a link to their support center and see if they have online manuals or at least ordering capabilities. Most of the big electronics companies have this option, I did it for my JVC stereo. I lost my manual over time, had to replace the battery in my car and had to reset most of my settings on my stereo and I was able to get one from JVC. Just make sure you write down the number on the front of your unit on some paper so you can research it by model on there site. I hope this info helps!

check the starter motor itself. (go to napa or autozone where they can check it for free) When starters go bad they sort of ground out internally sometimes which kills the battery. Or the other problem, windings are burnt and so drawing so much current that it is more than the battery can supply. That would follow from your description of "everything work, but still would not start and just shut down" aka, turn key to power, all good as new battery, turn the ignition to crank, all dies... in a bit can sort of light up again, but won't crank. You might be able to whack the starter with a wooden stick (check on youtube for suggestions regarding your vehicle) to get it to a test location. Once running (while it is behaving like this) don't shut it off unless you are ok with being stranded wherever that is.

did you unplug the battery when the work was been done allowing the car main cpu system to reset itself if not u may have to go to a dealer of your car to have them reset cuz car computer doesent know work was done
