Lost Connection after 1 print-job

I have some devices where I have to hold the reset for 20 seconds. So try holding it longer. And make sure the print server is powered up when you do it.

First find out the IP address , Subnet mask,and Gateway addresses of your ISP ( Internet Service Provider ). According to above addresses, you have to complete the network settings of your printer by mentioning the different IP address .

To find out the above mentioned addresses, first open the control panel -> network connections -> local area connction -> properties -> Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPV4) OR Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPV6)according to your ISP -> Properties

By the systematic selection as mentioned above you will get the IP address, subnet mask and Gateway addresses.

Suppose your IP address is 192.168.0.10 , the gateway may be 192.168.0.1 Or any number. And the subnet mask may be XYY.XYY.XYY.0.

According to your ISP addresses you have to complete the network settings of your printer. First press the additional functions -> system settings -> network settings -> TCP/IP settings -> fill up the addresses as follows.

IP address : 192.168.0.16 OR any number .

subnet mask : XYY.XYY.XYY.0.

Gateway : 192.168.0.1

Hurray ! the problem about your network connection with the printer to your computer will be automatically solved.

When your using Internet connection via LAN you need to configure the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties at the Network Connection Wizard. To configure the Network Connection just follow this steps:
1. Double click the My Computer from your desktop/screen.
2. At the left side of the My Computer menu click the My Network Places then click View Network Connections in the left side of that window also.
3. Double click the Local Area Connection and click Properties.
4. When the Local Area Connection Properties was appear select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click Properties.
5. The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties are also apear, then click Use the following IP address and fill-up the following: IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Preferred DNS Server and Alternate DNS Server.
6. After all you fill-up click OK Button.
Note: Make sure that the IP Address you fill-up in your network connection are not the same with the other computer to avoid conflict. Just copy the configuration on the computer like: Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Preferred DNS Server and Alternate DNS Server. Only the IP Address are unique to the other computer. Example; 192.168.0.5 that is the IP Address of last computer are connected in the network. The IP Address you able to use is 192.168.0.6, only the last digit of the IP Address your going to change.

I have an answer for you.your comp is loosing the IP address.do this when you can go online. goto start - programmes - accessories - dos prompt. type ipconfig.you`ll get ip address,subnet mask,default gateway.copy it. goto network and sharing center,click on view status,goto propertiesand double click on internet protocol(tcp/ip) or IPv4.type in the IP address,subnet mask,default gateway.in DNS server address type the default gateway in primary DNS and in secondary 4.2.2.2. ypur connection won`t drop after this.

Make sure you have your IP addresses properly configured. An IPv4 address is made up of four numbers fro 0 to 255 (eight-bit binary numbers) separated by periods, for example, 192.168.1.1. The first three numbers are the subnet address; for small networks, the factory default is usually 192.168.1. Every computer, router, print server, etc., on the subnet must have the same subnet address to communicate directly. (Generally, there is only one router on a subnet). Also, verify that everybody has the same subnet mask (usually 255.255.255.255).

Client computers on a network usually have addresses assigned automatically by the router using DHCP. Print servers and the router should have their addresses assigned manually so the other units on the network can find them at the same place after a restart. Routers typically get address 0 or 1 (e. g., 192.168.1.1). It is a good idea to configure the router to reserve the print server address (or make sure it is in the block of reserved addresses so it is never assigned to anything else since that would cause a conflict (server busy?). Use a high number for the print server address (e. g.,200-255, as in 192.168.1.254, which is the default address for the Airlink 101). On Windows, type <Windows-r> to get the run program <filename> dialog, then type "cmd" to get a command line window. Type "ipconfig /all" to read the IP address information. Type "ipconfig /renew" to get a new address. For information on using ipconfig to modify IP address parameters, type "ipconfig /?"

On each Mac, open the Network control panel, select IPv4, click on "Advanced", then click on "Renew IP lease." Verify that the computer gets an IP address in the correct range from the router, for example, IP address 192.168.1.14, subnet mask 255.255.255.255, default gateway 192.168.1.1. The DNS server will most likely be on a different subnet out on the Internet.

Now you should be able to find the print server using Rendezvous, LPR printiving via IP or AppleTalk.

The manual linked here is a bit old, but it covers Mac OS 10.3 configuration for a Airlink server. Your server may be a different model, but operation is probably similar unless AppleTalk and other older protocols have been removed.

Are you trying to get an IP for your computer, or for your modem? Assuming your using a high-speed connection, possibly a router?

This could be the problem with your signaling server , have you checked it ??
I think it is losing connectivity of T-Lan Network.

Try to upgrade the firmware revision to the last one (1.21).
I had similar problem with the dpr-1260 firmware rev 1.00.
Now after the firmware upgrade the problem seems solved
