Pavilion s3620f has no video and won't boot

There could be many reasons for this. Open the case and make sure the components are plugged in tightly. Make sure the CPU Fan is spinning and is dust free.Reseat the RAM modules, make sure to clean the RAM slots before reseating the modules. If all this fails to give results, but a new power supply and try that, you do not have to install the power supply but can keep it outside and test it. If the MB is gone, then, look to see if she still has warranty, if not ebay may be a cheap answer for the same MB.

I have an ACER ASPIRE T180 on Windows 7 ULTIMATE. Spec : http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/desktop/0000/Acer/AspireT180/AspireT180sp2.shtml Problems booting up are: No light on the front power button,...

try this... pull out the video cards and boot the system. If the system boots, then the graphics cards are the problem. What type of cards are they?

Display skcrin black but LED not blinking

First, connect this monitor to another computer, if you still do not get a Windows image on the Samsung LCD monitor then it is faulty. The fault could be a faulty inverter board that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or the fault could be a faulty CCFL lamp.
Parts for this monitor could be avaiable from LCD Parts, theie WEB site is :-

Monitor will appear to come on a "no signal" sign flashes up then the screen goes black. If you press the on off swich the green light will come on briefly then go to orange and then disappears completely...

could be a number of possibilities, lcd backlight is going bad, bad capacitors on the power board, lcd cable needs to be reseated, power board needs to be replaced. Best possibility would be to take it to a repair shop and see what the costs would run to fix it.

If its more then the cost of a new monitor then get a new monitor cause you would get the warranty.

I have an HP Pavilion a1777c with a blank monitor

If the computer is starts up normally other than the no-video problem (that is, you hear all the normal sounds from the computer and the usual Windows startup music), then you probably do need a new video card. According to HP's spec page for the motherboard used, you'll need a PCI-E video card. Don't confuse this with a regular PCI card which has a different connector.

The spec page also says the board has integrated graphics. so you could remove any video card that's been installed and try booting with the built-in video. If everything else is working properly you can use that until you get a new expansion video card.

If the trouble is that the computer's not booting at all even though it's coming on, you'll need to figure out why. This might be a memory or video problem, although these usually cause some beep code if the motherboard gets into its POST (power on self-test). If nothing at all happens, this is often the sign of a bad power supply, processor chip or system board.

No signal

Do you have both the 24 pin plug & the 4 or 8 pin plug, depending on board, plugged into the proper places? The 4 pin plug is what powers the pci-e x16 slot. On some newer boards it will be an 8 pin plug rather than a 4. It should be clearly marked on the mb in small print. Hope this helps.

No video

ok fine i think there exists some problem in the cable connecting from the CPU to the monitor just try removing that & inserting it again ....

if the same problem persists then there may be some problem in the port of the video card just take tester & test is there power supply or not ....

if there is no power supply then some of the capacitor on the video card might have burned out due to this ports will not be working ....

if there is power supply then there will be one IC(integrated circuit ) on the motherboard just near by the AGP or PCI express slot (i think in your motherboard there are 3 IC s near there)
in those 3 IC s if some IC goes means also you will not get the display ...

(the video must be inserted to the PCI express slot or AGP slot only) you must not insert it on PCI slots ...
you make a difference of PCI or AGP slot as this will be only 1 or 2 on every motherboard & it will be smaller in size than the PCI slots & there will be colour difference(may be the PCI slots will be white colour & AGP or PCI express slot in black or brown colour it depends on the motherboard)
check on which slot you have inserted it & insert it correctly if you inserted in some other slots ...

remove the video & insert it again & try check the cables the cable may be loose contact ...

any doubts you can reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you

Monitor doesnt switch on

Can you try another monitor?
Since you did try another video card (AGP). I posted (In you're other post), you have to make a bios adjustment under Advanced menu. Once you're P4SP-MX bios is set to boot to the AGP or set to Enable. The bios will no longer try to load the on-board VGA card. I am not being picky about the statement I am going to make ( so don't be offended). Monitor's only receive signal. They do not send signal to PC, just receive. The odds of two video cards not working is high. You did mention you have not heard P.O.S.T (A single beep), which is a test of the motherboard. There could be a loose connection in you're PC. I would remove the memory first. Clean the contacts with alcohol on a cotton swab & blow out the memory slots with canned air (allow time to dry). Than firmely reseat the memory. I would than re-check all data & power connectors within the PC, making sure all are securley connected. With respect to the AGP card, I would do the same. Remove, clean & reseat. Most older AGP's require additional power. Some use a power cable that is also used to power a floppy drive & others use a 4 pin molex (see link),
http://pinouts.ru/connector/4_pin_Molex_power_connector.shtml.
When you are in the bios & within the Advanced menu you may also need to set the bios to read you're AGP card to the correct speed. (EX: 1x,2x,4x). Page 2-19 in you're manual. Once all these checks & cleaning have been completed, try again. Boot the PC and hopefully you will see display on you're monitor.

Post here. Let me know how thing go. Don't assume anything, check all.
Luck!

Motherboard detects nothing

anniegms, I had the same problem with a new Asus board running a Dual Core Duo Quad processor. The boards BIOS was not updated to handle the Dual Core Duo yet. I had to switch processors to a P4. Use a different PC to make a BIOS update disk. Update the BIOS and switch processors back. But I had all the same symptoms of yours. However I did/do have a PCI-E XFX Fatality (Nvida) based graphics card. I would check or swap processors, it sounds like the board is waking up but not the processor. Just my thoughts.... PCdok
