SOURCE: canon power shot sx 100 reads card locked

SD Memory cards have a tiny switch on the edge that marks the memory card as read only and prevents any writes. If you get the message "Card locked!" when you turn the camera on then turn the camera off, eject the SD card. With the card facing you (metal contacts facing away) the switch is on the left hand edge, slide towards the top of the card to make the card read/write again.

SOURCE: Connecting the Canon FS 100 to my iMac

I have the same issue with Canon model FS10
The only thing I could find was a MOD converter
http://www.my-video-converter.com/mod_converter_mac/
It does cost $29 but you can try before you buy and it worked for me.

SOURCE: Can I use 8GB SD cards in my Canon Powershot A620

The A620 uses MMC and SD cards. SD cards max out at 2GB in size. Larger cards are actually SDHC or SDXC cards and will not work in the A620.

SOURCE: my canon SD 750 camera does not read the sd card even when the sd card is not locked, how do i unlock the internal switch in the camera for the sd card?

Could be faulty sd card and you may need to try another one to see if you get the same message.

Canon powershot elph 100 hs memory card locked

Look for a small, sliding switch on the side of the SD card. If it isn't on "write protect" the switch or card may be physically damaged and needs to be replaced. Have you tried it with a different SD card?

I bought a 16GB sandisk sdhc card for my Cnaon Elura 100. It says card error and will not initialize. What next?

Your camera is designed to use SD cards, not SDHC cards which are a later evolution of the SD card with different technical standards.

Your fix is to either stick with mini DV tapes or with SD cards with a maximum 2GB capacity.

Put new SD card in (Micro Center brand) can only read card when I plug camera into computer cannot read card when I plug card into computer. Card slot on computer works on my Nikon card.

It is possible that the card may be corrupt or damaged, you could try to get a Canon SD card and try that , I'm guessing that the camera came with a Canon SD card when it was new?. The Micro Center SD cards come with a 3 year limited warranty so try contacting them, personally I use Kingston SD cards.

Printer wont read SD cards does read sony memory

If it does not seat (fit) properly, why say the printer will not read SD cards? It certainly will read SD cards that are supported. You can still upload to computer and print from there as you suggested.

Purchased Canon FS-20 camcorder last week to take on vacation to Disney World. Used it first day for 3 hours off and on then got error message: ''Cannot access internal memory''. Will not record even with...

I've got the same problem, also with a brand-new Canon Legria FS 20. As Canon told me, I took it to a Canon office to be repaired. It was repaired. I tried filming and it worked. Then I tried to view this film and I got the same error message again: cannot access internal memory. I also can't film anymore now. I'll call Canon now and ask them what to do. Repairing didn't help, I want a new cam, but I'm not sure the FS 20 is a good choice. There seems to be a problem with it.
