My 50Hda39 50 in plasma doesn't work through the coaxial cable hook up

My tv has stopped showing a picture through the coaxial hookup and a couple of the video hookups

    It will show a picture if I hook up a laptop through the hdmi hookup. A couple of the audio hookups have also stopped working. This tv has 3av hookups and all 3 only one or the other works.

Please contact the authrized service center for Hitachi. Sounds like corrupted firmware. Firmware update is necessary, and the firmware to Hitachi is very difficult to get by internet. SOURCE: vhs hookup to tv

Try hooking up the AV cables, unless it's an older model(1993-1998) then you might require a coaxial cable. After this you simply plug it into the wall outlet, but I would suggest a surge protector for a Hitachi. If that does not work, then it is simply not compatible, but it should work, good luck

My cable box is hooked up but no signal can u tell me whats wrong

If you hookup your TV directly to the coaxial cable, bypassing the cable-box, do you get a few channels? If so, then the coaxial cable is carrying a signal, which is good.

How are you hooking the output from the cable-box to the input(s) on the TV? Coaxial output port on box to coaxial input port on TV?
Red/blue/green "component" outputs on box to matching inputs on TV? Red/White audio outputs on box to red/white inputs on TV? HMDI output from box to HDMI input on TV?

You have to "tell" the TV which of the inputs:
* coaxial (with TV set to Channel 3 or 4)
* component
* HDMI
to "listen" to.

Hello, i am trying to hook up my xbox 360 to my

Make sure the tv is set to A/V 1 if it has multiple A/V hookups make sure the tv is on and set to the A/V channel you are trying to use. And make sure your cable is set to tv if you have a composite cable. If that does not work try buying a composite cable (thats the yellow red red blue green white cable). If that does not work. There might be something wrong with the xbox or tv.

Coaxial cable

Most newr TV's do not come with a coaxial hookup anymore, you either need to use RCA cables for Audio and Video, Component Video, S-Video Jack, Digital Audio Jack or HDMI Input.

The coaxial hookup broke so you can't hookup the cable directly to it.

Must call cable provider for service,the coaxial cable is very long require new cable wire hook up.

Element 32'' LCD TV, has picture but no sound

The S-video cable doesn't have hookups for audio, only video. It's better than the video coaxial cable. But, you still need to hook up the right and left audio coaxial cables.

Having trouble hooking up my DVD player

Try looking on your tv's menu for "input" or "input select". This should allow you to switch to your front AV inputs. If that doesn't work hook into the coaxial cable in the back of the set (the one for your cable or satellite input. Plug the cable from the output or to tv side of your reciever into the input of the dvd player and run another lenghth of coaxial cable from the output of the dvd player to the coaxial input where your satellite or cable was plugged into the back of your set. When you want to watch a DVD just turn on the DVD player and the picture should come up. When you turn it off your satellite or cable should come right back.
