Outlet is much cheaper than Sharp. I have the same vacuum I buy them 4 or 5 at a time, as I live near a beach and sand eats the belts. Sears also sells them.Wow what's a vascumn? I need to slow down...maybe less coffee!

I checked the schematics for that model and the motor housing for that model is no longer available. Your best bet is to either attempt to find a used part or trade it in and get a new unit. Sharp no longer makes any vacuums or parts which makes these almost obsolete because most of the parts are discontinued.let me know if you have any other questions or would like to talk about recommendations. thanks, chuck
if the motor spindle spins easily when turned by hand, the motor brushes need replacing. if it doesn't, either something is stuck in the turbine, or the motor is siezed. if the motor is siezed, it needs to be replaced.
Just before it shut down were you pulling on the cord? For it to shut down like that it almost sounds like the electric cord has a break in it-probably at the plug
i have replaced vacumm belts before .. Normally it is located underneath..flip over the vacumm unscrew some screws.. open the cover..youll see a large roller pin type object remove it carefully noting how it is placed..pull it out.. and replace the belt...you can also clean off the debris while doing this..an added plus..for vacumm maintenace..
PLease indicate whether this has helped you at all ..Thank You
If you have a rug that has tassles or open bits of "carpet tassles," this will injur ANY upright vacuum cleaner. Best way to vacuum a rug is to use a hose with a suction only floor head or small tool on the end.
