The ice is being produced, however the ice box only gets to around 46 degrees, everything appears to run correctly.
This model Icemaker makes ice by flowing water across a freeze plate. It is located in the top of the unit behind the white cover directly below the ON/OFF/CLEAN switches. After freezing a sheet of ice it releases and slides to the cutting grid. It then drops into the ice bin and begins to melt and the whole process starts over again. The level of ice in the bin is controlled by the high level sensor on the right side of the ice bin. It is a whit tube with two wires coming out of the top. Without this sensor it can overrun the bin capacity. Bottom line this unit does not freeze ice, it only holds it like cooler does.

Phil,
I know this will sound trite, but you DO realize that water melts at 32.1 degrees, right? So my question is how is your ice maker breaking the laws of physics? Water in your ice maker freezes at 13.9 degrees higher than every place on earth!
If I were you, I'd hang on to that appliance. It may have an application for super-conduction as well! Wouldn't that be cool? Either that or sell it to Lawrence Livermore for one heck of a profit!
