http://geeksquad.fixya.com/ThreadView.aspx?prdid=0&thid=698891 Generic problem for all Vacuums DONT KNOW HOW TO CHANGE MY BELT Posted by mommyhop1 on Jun 23, 2008 I LOST MY MANUAL TO SEE HOW TO CHANGE MY BELT. TRYING TO FIND THE USERS MANUAL FOR MY ELECTROLUX 3500 SR Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best way to get the owner’s manual is to contact the Electrolux factory and either download the owners manual from the website or call the customer service phone # and give them the model and serial # of the machine and they will send you out an owners manual for the product. Or you can contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area and they would assist you in changing your belt. Usually there are screws in the bottom of the vacuum and either the bottom will come off or the top cover will lift off and then you can change the belt. The average and recommended belt change for a flat belt is every 4 to 6 months and if you have a geared belt it is once a year for the best cleaning. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions. http://electrolux.com/Customer Service1-800-896-9756 Electrolux Home Care Products – North America P.O.
