When pluggged in, all lights behind the buttons on control touch pad panel light up, then go out. When the 'on' button is pushed, nothing happens. Can you tell me what the problem is? Thanx

First thing to try is turning off the power to the machine for a minute and then turn it back on, if that does not fix it then electronics have a brain problem. I have noticed that appliances with electronic panel controls are having many problems, my washing machine electronic control panel is bonkers but never had problems with the old mechanical controls. In order to fix mine I would have to order the whole panel as you cannot replace parts, I'm sure you unit is the same.

Whirlpool GU2500XTP dishwasher went dead in mid-cycle.

"Wondering if this model has had reliability issues with the circuit card." ...If by circuit card you mean the electronic control board, that part number is used in many other models as well. In my experience with these control boards, I believe they have a low failure rate.

Make these checks if you haven't done so yet...
Check for 120V (breaker). Look for loose/shorted wiring connection at the dishwasher's junction box. Check all wiring connections to the control panel, electronic control and thermal fuse. Test the continuity of the thermal fuse (part # 8193762). If that's ok, you have already replaced the control panel so the problem is likely with the electronic control board (part # 8564546).
Good luck.

Whirlpool Duet Dryer GEW9250P (electric)

Here is a list of possible causes. NONE OF THE LEDS LIGHT... Check to make sure that ribbon connectors P3 and P4 are inserted all the way into the machine control electronics board. (To access the machine control, pull the dryer away from the wall and remove the three screws from the top panel on the back. Slide the top panel rearward about 1/2" and lift. The machine control is on the left hand side. P3 and P4 are the "ribbon" connectors going into the board.) A PARTICULAR GROUP OF LEDS DOES NOT LIGHT... A group or combination of LEDs share a common electronic connection. If this connection is open, all of the LEDs in the group will be disabled. If this occurs, replace the entire console electronics and housing. ONE LED DOES NOT LIGHT... Press the button associated with the LED several times. If the LED does not light, the LED has failed. Replace the entire console electronics and housing. NO BEEP SOUNDS... If the associated LEDs do light up, the beeper circuit may have failed on the machine control electronics board. NO DRYER FUNCTION IS ACTIVATED WHEN A PARTICULAR PUSHBUTTON IS PRESSED... If the associated LEDs do light up, the machine control electronics board may have failed. AN E3 ERROR CODE IS DISPLAYED... An E3 error code means that there is a user interface or a software mismatch. It can also mean that a component on the console electronics,or the machine control electronics board has failed. Hope this little tutorial gets you where you need to go. Let us know how it turns out, will ya?
