Need key code for ford radio 5000 RDS-EON

Battery had to be disconected so car radio went off now it says enter key code,dont have one and cant take out radio to get serial number to get code,been to ford they wanted £20 to give me the code please is there another way to get the code? hi just got a car today but the radio needs the code it is a rds 5000 e-on i so need to listen to some music and my singing isn't so good please help me and how do i program it? many thanks

SOURCE: I don't know to remove

Here is a video showing how to remove a standard radio fromthe dashboard. A pair of extractorsare required (available from Ebay etc ) but these can be made from 2 pieces ofbent, wire coat-hanger or 4 smalldrills(using the blunt end) or 4 small Allen Keys or 4 small screwdrivers or 4 nails or even 4darts. An assistant isuseful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4 securing clips b> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urC-4NbXvDQ note: on some radios, these 4 holes are protected by 4 small screws. These can be unscrewedusing the appropriate of Allen key.

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.
