first make sure that you install the software correctly if your not sure check your manual also make sure that the camera you bought is compatible with your OS, make sure that the camera plug-in cable is not damaged and check of the usb port on you PC in working, you can go to the cameras manufacture site and look for drivers otherwise try installing your OS..

Make sure to follow the CD instruction in installing this device. Most pitfalls are, they must have connected the printer first before installing the software which allows Windows to install it's preferred driver rather than the bundled driver software.
If this is what you did, you need to uninstall the printer by going to Control Panel then look for Printers then deleting it from there. Uninstall all programs you installed using ADD/REMOVE Programs that is associated with the printer and start from scratch. Don't forget to reboot the computer before you begin installation.
During installation, make sure that the printer is unplug until the installation wizard tells you so. Also, the installation wizard will let you choose which kind of connection you will be using, (wired or wireless). Choose your preferred connection. Make sure that the pc is near the computer if you are choosing wireless to make sure that there is connectivity between your pc and printer.

Make sure you have all of the right drivers installed.
Next make sure that your computer is noticing your device.
If this isn't working make sure the cd that has the install files is not scratched and that the program installed correctly.

1) Make sure that the selected O/S can be installed on your specific PC/LAPTOP: THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN UPGRADE (which required an approved existing O/S) and NEW INSTALLATION.
1) Make sure you have all the required BIOS, DISK, VIDEO, NETWORK, SOFT KEYS, ETC ... DRIVERS FOR THE SELECTED O/S for your specific PC/LAPTOP
2) Make sure that you have enough FREE DISK STORAGE
3) Make sure that you have enough/minimum RAM Memory for your selected O/S to make it useful (eg. Vista and 1 GB memory = not too good for performance)
4) make sure that you have a 'legal' O/S Installation CD/DVD and the required LICENSE KEY
Installation is normally started automatically from a Bootable Installation CD or DVD for your selected O/S - Just be patient and follow all the prompts.

Try pulling down and installing a new driver that is Vista compatible. Be sure to scan the download before installation to make sure it's virus free.

if you do not have sound make sure your speakers are install in the right port. second go to device manager and make sure your sound drivers are install.
