Replacement lamps for Sharper Image SI871. 1 800 344 5555 busy

Hello, Sharper Image annoyingly did not carry this anymore. However, I found the replacement bulb at www.interlight.biz. They have any sort of specialty lamp / light bulb /projector lamp you can imagine. Here is the link for the lamp: https://www.interlight.biz/light-bulb/SHARPER-IMAGE-S1503

Lamps are effective for about 12 months of continuous use.

Both Ionic Breeze purifier and replacement parts had been retired from the market because of health concerns related to ionic technology. Parts are sometimes available on ebay, but I suggest not carrying any repair on this unit.

Once bulb is placed in unit it must be turned to lock in place.

this bulb is available on ebay for under $11.00. The release tab for the cover is at the bottom of the cover and it comes off pretty easy. Once the cover is off you turn the lamp 1/4 turn (two clicks) and slide it from it's fixture.

i would replace it uv light life cycle is about 2500 hrs of operation just like fluorescent bulbs they loose their effectiveness with age

You need a G6T5 - Germicidal Tube Lamp - Mini Bi Pin Base bulb. Several online stores sell them.

If the warranty you are counting on is a Sharper Image Warranty I need to advise you that it was voided in the buyout on 30 May, 2008 when everything at Sharper Image was liquidated by Hilco Consumer Capital, Gordon Brothers, and Bluestar Alliance. If however it was a warranty company outside of Sharper Image you need to contact them.

You can purchase a bulb for the GP on ebay for under $11, which is really a good price considering what you would have paid from Sharper Image. Installation is easy, you just pull up on the tab on the bottom of the filter and pull up. When you are looking at the bulb, turn it 1/4 turn, (2 clicks) and pull it out. That is all there is to it. Sharper Image has recalled all Ionic Breeze Ionizers. This is what put Sharper Image into chapter 11.
