If you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data."

there is no way you can unlock your ipod nano without the screen password. i would request you to contact the authorized service center. they will be in a position to help you out.

You will have to plug your Ipod into Itunes and restore it to factory settings in order to reset it. Then reload your songs.

If you have a third gen ipod nano and you locked the screen lock and forgot the code, well what you do is you hook your ipod to your PC,laptop ect. and disconnect it. It should be unlocked. But if you lock it you have to do that over again to unlock it.

Well I went to my computer clicked my ipod and when the folders came up you go up top to "tools and folder options" and go to the tab that says "view" and click the one that says "show hidden folders." Then click "ipod control" then "Device" and delete the file that says "_lock" or something on that line. If you any questions email me at [email protected]

Try restoring the software back to factory settings using Itunes. This should erase the code.

Do you mean your iPod was locked with a code and you want to unlocked it right?

Unfortunately if that's the case the only way to resolve this problem is to reset the player, that means it will be restored to its factory settings removing all data(song,files) that was stored to the player. To restore the player here are the steps;

-Make sure that you have iTunes install on your computer.
-Open iTunes and the connect your player either via USB or Firewire.
-Wait for you player(iPod) to appear on the source panel in iTunes.
-Select your iPod and the source panel on iTunes and you will see your players information on the summary window.
-Click the restore button.

Hope this will help you unlock that player.

There should be a slid on the top of the device. Slide it to the left, that should unlock the phone.
